Christmas Party

We are actively engaged in organising our Christmas Party for all our staff. Our most valuable asset as a cleaning company are our cleaning staff. It is very easy for cleaners to feel undervalued and not appreciated by anybody and simply considered as some form of lower life. We like to continually thank our loyal staff and reward them suitably financially. However one big way to publicly aknowledge our thanks is to reward the staff with a Christmas Party. It is one of the few times in the year when all the employees can be gathered together in one place and get to know each other because normally they are isolated in their own cleaning areas, offices etc.

Work in Progress

Saturday Les did a builders clean in London and went off to price another builders clean, unfortunately he got lost in the London's road system and couldn't find the second site. I think it might be better if we kept Les out of the London area! Sunday it was my turn to go off travelling. I went up to Colchester to carry out a last minute builders clean which turned out to really be a sparkle clean. Unfortunately there was no power and no water so it did provide a few minor complications. Monday we were inundated with people wanting moving in cleans/moving out cleans, so much so that we are completely booked with those for the next two weeks. Franchise agreements seem to be progressing at a slow pace.

Time Freeing Up

As we manage to engage more and more cleaners to cover the increasing number of contracts we are taking on this is freeing up more of our time. Consequently we will have more time to devote to growing the business which has the potential to expand at an enormous rate and not just in the UK. Hopefully the new franchisees will come on board soon which will free up even more of my time. We have had a number of enquiries from Eastern Europe, South Africa, and the USA about franchising opportunities in those countries, so we are pursuing those possibilities. If there is anybody interested in operating a franchise in any of those countries then please do make contact with us. It is easiest to contact by e-mail at the moment so go to the appropriate page on the web site and give your name, location, country and contact details including e-mail address. Thank you.

Franchise agreements

Negotiations with our various partners are proceeding well and with a bit of luck we should have a further three franchises set up within the next two weeks. This should then reduce my personal workload and allow me to concentrate on gathering in the business for all our partners. Tentative negotiations are proceeding at the moment for us to move into the USA market and Eastern Europe. In these ares we are actively looking for suitable partners who can operate Sparkle Cleaning Services (UK) in these areas. If anybody is interested then please do make contact with us as soon as possible.

Deep cleaning kitchens and extraction systems

It must be the forthcoming changes in the regulations governing commercial kitchens and ventilation systems and their ducts and the close involvement of insurance companies in setting premiums for such premises because we are receiving a steady stream of requests to clean these ventilation and extraction systems. Whereas previously kitchens often used to ignore their ducting; out of sight out of mind as it were and why spend money on something you cannot see. Insurance companies are now insisting that these are cleaned regularly because of the fire hazards associated with grease build up in ducts. If you are in this situation then visit this page.

Oven Cleaning Revamped

We have gone over to a dipping system of oven cleaning without the use of caustic chemicals. All the chemicals we now use are bio-degradable and produce no obnoxious fumes when used in kitchens. This is a stand alone service and available to domestic customers in a large area of Southern England including the London area.
We are looking for oven cleaners to take over the work in the South West, Midlands, North East, North West of England, and the East Anglian region. Any oven cleaners in these areas who would like additional work then please contact us.

House Cleans etc

4 days without posting to the weblog! The aim is to post everyday if possible, but for four days it has not been possible because of the volume of work. We are going into work overload. On wednesday we negotiated for our oven cleaning over central south England and London to be covered by Ciaran. Our new details regarding oven cleaning have yet to be posted onto the website. A job for over the weekend!
Thursday was spent in London all day (departing here at 5.0am), picking up our workforce from Wembley before moving on to Highbury for a flat clean for the local Social Services. Completed as much of the clean as was possible by 1.0pm, waiting on the plumbers to sort out the bathroom before we can complete, hopefully next Tuesday. Moved onto Romford for two commercial premises quotes. Completed these by 5.0pm and returned to Wembley before heading back to Bournemouth. Friday was again an early start to cover the cleans from thursday evening. Then whilst Les covered the commercial and domestic cleans in the morning I did a site survey for a builders clean of 20 or so industrial units and then to Portsmouth to meet a prospective franchisee. Meeting was good and looks very promising. Back to Bournemouth for the evening cleans. Completed these early so that I could arrange a route for Les to get to a commercial site in Hendon on Saturday morning where he is demonstrating to the cleaners how to descale taps/toilets/sinks with the minimum of effort and quickly. Arranging the fastest and easiest route to these premises took longer than anticipated so dinner was delayed!
Saturday should see me complete the quote for the builders clean and get that faxed through. Complete the Cleaning Site Survey for one of the premises in Romford together with a quote. Get a quote together for the other offices in Romford. Gather all the information together for posting the oven cleaning onto the website. Construct more web pages for our cleaning services in the London boroughs. Construct a web page for Sparkle's cleaning services in Surrey and probably a host of other things that I have forgotten. In the meantime I have the morning cleans to take care of, walk the dog eat and relax a bit! Somehow I think that not all of this is going to get done on Saturday. So it will hang over to Sunday. Sunday has the prospects of being a fine day! Our Sunday morning cleaner at the marina on Hayling has just resigned so it looks like I will have to step in to cover until we can find a replacement. So Sunday morning I shall be seeing the sun rise over Hayling Island provided it is not raining! The weather forecast is not good.

Successful SEO

It is pleasing to note that having followed all the advice of the experts which is freely available we continue to hold our position in the search engines listings and in most cases have risen up the rankings. Three major changes to the website I believe have contributed to this. The first is the writing and publishing of articles which has caused a considerable increase in the number of good inbound links as well as increased the number of visitors. The second is the addition of this weblog which by constantly updating the content has caused the search engine spiders to visit more frequently and spider the whole site. As a result all pages are now indexed by all the major search engines. The third and last factor is the constant addition to the website of more content by tweaking all of the pages regularly and adding more pages. We are constantly told that the spiders love big sites. As a result I am regularly adding more pages. In the last two months our website has grown from 32 pages to 75 pages. Plans are in place to increase to 100 pages over the next four weeks. The first of these additional pages which will be added shortly is one devoted entirely to oven cleaning. From our prelimenary trials of this subject it would seem that there is quite a demand out there especially amongst domestic customers for good oven cleaning services and as the regulations change for commercial kitchens this should also see an increase in demand as we get into the new year. Time will tell on that one.
