The Cleaning Services Group Ltd have expanded rapidly over the past two months since its inception and now has representatives working flat out to sell our cleaning services in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, and all associated and surrounding areas. we are working hard to establish bases in the North east (Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesborough) and Scotland (Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh). After a long delay we have once again got East Anglia, up and running with complete coverage of Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. As we have for South Wales, also with our cleaning services able to cover both Swansea and Cardiff.

Changing Times In Cleaning Companies

This blog has now been taken over by another cleaning company, The Cleaning Services Group Ltd. But we will keep all previous blogs as the people running this company used to run the old occupant of this site, 'Sparkle' so most of the blogs are still relevant and mainly current. The nature of the blog should hopefully change as more people will be encouraged to contribute. So long as you have some connection to the industry you are most welcome to make a contribution, and it does not have to be about cleaning!

These are all in Word format, Generic and can be altered to suit your own purposes.
Coming shortly are the same method statements but in pictorial form, designed for your cleaning staff who do not read English fluently.

Departing Member of Staff

Adriana has left us after 18 months of working with us in England. She has left to return to South America to take up her chosen profession as an aeronautical engineer hopefully in the Dutch Antilles (Curacao). During her time with us she has helped develop a number of innovative ideas an implement them into our cleaning services. We wish her all the very best for the future and we will obviously keep in touch as our software will probably need tweaking every once in a while.

Our Traffic Rank (Alexa) in Canada being 171,006 with 4.6% of our visitors coming from Canada. (This represents 244 visitors per week). Our Traffic Rank in the USA being 857,622, with 6.5% of our visitors coming from the States. (This represents 345 visitors per week). I would like to give a warm welcome to the new management and their teams, and I wish them all the best for the future. We would also like to announce that our Cleaning Services in Cornwall has changed management and we can now offer a wide range of services throughout Cornwall. Again, we wish them the very best with their venture.

It is an exciting time here at Sparkle, as we set out to expand our Cleaning Services throughout the UK. It has meant a lot of hard work, and many late nights for us as we take on new areas and support our new teams as they establish themselves in the Industry.

New Services

Sparkle is diversifying and using its cleaning experience to set up a system for assisting other cleaning companies. We have had in place for some time now a system for generating quality leads which we enable other companies to utilise. We are now in the process of developing a whole series of method statements and risk assessments aimed solely at the cleaning market. Given the fact that a large percentage of cleaners employed are not primarily english speakers we will be offering these in two formats. The first will be in Word format and text based, the second will be entirely in the form of pictograms. If you order the Pictogram version then you will receive the text based document completely free of charge. Health and safety now plays a very large part of the cleaning industry and these will allow small cleaning companies to comply with the relevant legislation and present a very professional image. Laura has taken over the running of the weblog and keeping everyone upto date with current developments and happenings at Sparkle. This is my last post (DAVID) as I welcome Laura into the job and wish her well in her new venture. She has also taken over other managerial responsibilities within the organisation. So now we have a new vibrant force at work within our structure leading us into a prosperous future. I am passing on the reins to Laura knowing that it is in very capable hands as I go into semi retirement.

London Work

We are in the process of completing two contracts for Schneider (GB), one at Stratford Eye the other at the development of The Qube in Tottenham Court Road. Both consist of cleaning the windows and frames and then wrapping them in bubble wrap to protect them whilst the other contractors complete their work.

Aeronautical Engineer Streamlines Our Maintenance

Adriana Ramirez Rodriguez, a Colombian engineering graduate, who has been working with us on a part time basis since her arrival in England in March 2006 is near to completing a total and all encompassing maintenance programme for all our varied machinery across the UK. It is hoped that once she has this up and running machine breakdowns will become a thing of the past thus allowing much smoother and trouble free cleaning schedules. Adriana has employed her skills as an aeronautical engineer in designing this programme. Adriana is in England studying English and we came across her purely accidently and after a very short time decided to employ her skills as an engineer to streamline and organise our maintenance programmes which up until recently had been based on 'fix it when it breaks'. This attitude in the world of aircraft maintenance is not one that can be adopted! So utilising Adriana's skills in this area we will endeavour to see if a more preventative approach can be cost effective and efficient. Once she has fully developed the schedule she will then be responsible for implementing it and with careful monitoring over the next few months we should be able to obtain reliable data as to its cost effectiveness. Updates on the progress of this campaign will be posted as soon as we start getting data in.

This is a personal message for Mr R. in Bogota concerning his daugher A. who is in England studying English. Firstly she is studying very hard, working very hard at her English and is doing very well indeed. Her understanding of English is excellent and her spoken English is good and improving all the time. She works part time with us and always works only with us on special cleans. That way she is getting to see quite a lot of England! We are trying to make her stay in England as enjoyable as possible. By the way she is eating ok but drinks very little! You have no need to worry about her as she is a very capable, very intelligent young lady. You are I am sure very proud of her and her achievements. I commend you on bringing up such a very nice bright and interesting person as A is.

Can I please implore individuals who send us e-mails enquiring about any vacancies we may have that they actually indicate where abouts they actually are! 90% of all enquiries we receive do not have this information so they are basically useless. This is a typical example of what the e-mails say ... 'looking for job in cleaning 18 years experience in domestics and general cleaning'. Such enquiries do not unfortunately get a reply as`we do not have the time to send replies back requesting this information.

Specialist Cleaning Additions
We have added to our already wide range of specialist cleans that we can carry out. Added in the past few weeks after training personnel in the appropriate techniques and all aspects of health and safety surrounding these cleans, are;

HIGH LEVEL CLEANING using rope access, platforms, either static or hydraulic, or using equipment of our own devising for cleaning those areas normally difficult to access.
SUB FLOOR CLEANING. Within these false floor spaces debris accumulates becoming a fire risk and attracting rodents. This can cause computer failures because of cables being nibbled or the build up of large amounts of static.

Most commentators are highly critical of England and their play to date. Unlike our cricketers and rugby players they are still winning. Why do we have to be so critical? Is it because we think that our team is better than they actually are? Perhaps if we did not surround the team with so much hype we could just be happy that they continue to progress through the tournament. It would not be England if they did not make us suffer each match. England for all their star players do not play wonderful flowing football for a full 90 minutes and have not done so for many years. They do it in patches. However they continue to grind out appropriate results ..... something like Chelsea? I think we should stop moaning and being hypo-critical and enjoy the end result. Just look at Portugal and the Netherlands .... no great shakes either; Mexico came so close to beating Argentina; Sweden played very poorly and made Germany look good. Every supporter and commentator is also the best manager England could have. Everybody knows better than the actual person in charge who ultimately is labelled a fool, stupid and knows nothing. It has always been thus and now doubt will continue into the future. What chance does Mclaren have?
